The Ogden High Rise Condominiums
Downtown Las Vegas is an exciting place to call home especially if you own one of The Ogden High Rise Condominiums. It has a new energy and vibe that wasn't there ten years ago. The Ogden is ideally situated for those who want to be part of the newly revitalized Downtown LV. The building was completed in 2007. The Downtown area was still in the early phases of revitalization. Only a few of the condos were sold when the building opened. Instead, the building was turned into a rental property for a couple of years. It attracted the likes of Zappos Founder, Tony Hsieh who leased several condos. Late in 2014, the building owners decided the time was right to market the property as a condo building again. On occasion we find resale units available but the developer units may offer some great incentives.
The Ogden building has a bit of an art deco vibe. That effect has been softened a bit by painting the building white rather than the original pink facade. Floor plans start with an 815 sf 1 bedroom/1 bath condo. There are a total of 16 floor plans, including 2 and 3 bedroom condos. The largest plan is the Goodman with 2044 sf. This residence offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. plus a den.
The Ogden Amenities
The Ogden's amenities provide for effortless living. Each condos has their own laundry machines with a stackable washer/dryer in a closet. Residents may opt to avoid laundry by dropping their clothes at Mint Locker downstairs. Dry cleaning is available 24/7 with a 1-2 day turn around.
Climate control for the condos is via the "Nest Learning Thermostat". Owners can control the temperature in their residence from their smart phones and tablets.
The building is appointed with a gym on the 15th floor. The Club house is on the 16th. There is a sky deck for enjoying gorgeous sunsets overlooking Fremont Street and a rooftop pool. Each condo has their own parking space in the garage. All the building amenities are covered in the monthly HOA fees. The HOA is currently .44/sf. Owners must pay their own electric, cable and internet. The building covers the water, trash and sewage.
Owners who prefer not to own a car can take advantage of Shift. The building is currently offering six month's membership in Shift with purchase of a condo. Shift has electric cars, including Teslas and bikes for members to use when needed.
The building is now home to Rachel's Kitchen and the Scullery for those days when you don't want to leave the premises. Half a block away is the Fremont East experience. You'll find options like Le Thai, Carson's Kitchen and a growing list of popular eateries. It's only a short walk to the Downtown Container Park and Downtown's first grocery, The Market.
The Ogden is the spot for those who want to be able to walk over to grab a bite to eat and see a show. On top of Freemont East, the Freemont Street Experience is always an interesting spot. The Smith Center is only a five minute cab ride for shows that include Broadway, Classical, Jazz and Dance.
