Havana Grill in Henderson - Best Cuban Food in Town
The Havana Grill in Henderson reminds us of one of the reasons we love our desert life. Located next to the Regal theaters at Eastern and Pebble, this is just North of the 215 which makes it a convenient location for us to stop for lunch when heading up to Anthem or Seven Hills for showing homes.
With a large selection of Cuban sodas, and tropical fruit juices it's easy to quench your thirst on a hot day by stopping in for lunch. And, if it isn't a work day, they have a large selection of Cuban rums to really make you feel you're in the tropics. Starting with the hot Cuban bread they bring to your table, you will find the food served here is authentic Cuban cuisine. Our favorites include the Masitas (fried pieces of pork served with grilled onions), the tamales and the plantains.
With bread this good, it's no wonder it they make the best Cuban sandwiches. While they make several types, our favorite is the traditional Cuban sandwich with ham, pork and cheese on their buttery bread. Or try one of their delicious entrees served with the traditional moros.
Cuban music playing on the PA system combined with palm trees add to the feeling that you're in the tropics rather than in the desert. While we haven't had a chance to be in the area on week-ends, we also understand they feature live music to really make you feel like you're in a Havana night club.
It's a convenient location for date nights with dinner and a movie. In this same Strip mall, one also finds a new Korean restaurant, the Ali Baba Lebanese restaurant, and the Lemongrass Vietnamese cafe. While we tend to get drawn into the Havana Grill when we're in the neighborhood, one of my clients tells me we have to try the Lemongrass cafe. I'm sure we will someday, but it's hard to resist the Havana Grill when we're in Henderson.
