Las Vegas pool homes become increasingly popular as we enter Spring and Summer. Of all the outdoor activities we can access so easily in the desert, swimming is my favorite. There is nothing like jumping into a pool and swimming laps with the summer sun beating down on you.
Even in our coldest months, we still get some warm sunny days when folks from the colder climates are happy to swim.
Maybe it's because I'm longing for those days when we're consistently in the 80s and 90s, but I have been encountering some great pools when I view homes. One of my absolute favorites is at the model home in the Marquis of Seven Hills community which was built by Blue Heron Living. This is an incredible home, even without the pool (pictured above). As you enter the home's main foyer, this pool is inviting. Even non-swimmers will find it hard to resist kicking back in one of the lounge chairs by the pool, or relaxing by the fire pit in between the two sections of the pool on a cooler evening.
The ultimate touch for this pool is the cabana where one can escape the hot sun during the day, or enjoy the view of the city lights at night (pictured to the right).
The contemporary pools are among my favorites, but we had the chance to meet a couple of new pools tonight. The most expensive listing in Vegas held an open house for a handful of us to get a peak at what's inside. While everyone else drooled over the incredible antiques and the finishes inside the home, my favorite part --- THE POOL.
This $22.5M home in Tournament Hills offers 20,000 sf of living space with a pool that is surrounded by Grecian columns and sculptures that remind one of old world elegance. The pool on this home could easily accompany a true Beverly Hills estate. It overlooks the TPC Summerlin private golf course. It's on the golf course but positioned so that one feels very private in this pool.
To complement this traditional pool, we found a large indoor pool/jacuzzi. The indoor pool is in a separate structure. One can access it by walking across the courtyard from the main house or outdoor pool. A corridor connects the second floor of the main residence to the second floor of the spa's building for those colder months.
Inside the "spa", the lucky owners and their guests are greeted with this large indoor pool/jacuzzi. Perfect for those cold days in December and January. In addition to the pool, the facility offers dry and wet saunas, fitness room, massage room and more. Even in the hot months, who wouldn't enjoy a nice work out, maybe a massage then a dip in the indoor pool. And to cool off, heading over to the outdoor pool to watch the golfers between laps.
While these pools may be out of reach for most of us, we still have some great Las Vegas pool homes to choose from. And, if you can't find the right home that already has a pool, one can always have their dream pool built.
