Buying a Las Vegas House with RV Garage for Sale

Every Las Vegas home buyer has individual needs and wants in a new place to live. And for some, having a place to park an RV is an essential feature that sits at or near the top of their wish list. The good news for frequent campers and those needing RV parking is that the Las Vegas area has plenty of home buying options and opportunities to consider that include RV parking, ranging from an extended driveway and RV port to a full-fledged oversized garage that has the capacity to fit even the largest of campers and RVs.

RV Parking Types

If you’re already an RV owner, you don’t need me to tell you that an RV is a serious investment that needs to remain in the best operating condition possible. It’s for this reason that you’ll want to consider what type of RV parking best fits your needs as a home owner. In Las Vegas, here are some of the common options available or most commonly found throughout the area:

Extended Driveway: If you’re on a bit of a budget, a home with an extended driveway that extends to the rear of a home might be the best and most affordable option out there. Although you won’t have any coverage from the sun and other outdoor elements, you’ll still enjoy peace of mind knowing your RV is safely parked right outside your home while also saving on storage cost off-site.

RV Port: An RV port is exactly as it sounds—the equivalent of a carport for your RV. Most RV ports are sturdy metal structures that help prevent damage caused by harsh weather conditions, including the hot desert sun, which is always a factor here in Las Vegas. And along with the extra protection, prospective home buyers shouldn’t have to pay much of a premium for homes that already have an RV port installed.

Oversized RV Garage: Believe it or not, more Las Vegas homes than you think feature oversized garages large enough to store any RV imaginable, providing the ultimate living experience for RV owners wanting maximum protection and security. In fact, many Las Vegas area home builders include RV garages as an option if you’re looking to build your dream home from the ground up. But given the size and extra storage space an RV garage provides, expect to pay a serious premium if you’re house hunting for a home with this kind of a feature.

Top Las Vegas Communities With RV Parking Homes

If you’re interested in buying a Las Vegas home with RV parking and wondering where to begin a search, these highly desirable communities all feature spacious and attractive homes that also include RV parking

  • Sable Oaks - Sable Oaks is a fabulous Las Vegas neighborhood with large yet reasonably priced homes. Construction for the community wrapped up around 2005, so many homes still feel relatively new, both on the inside and out.
  • Grand Canyon / Deer Springs - Situated on the far northwest side of Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon / Deer Springs area features an abundance of homes with RV parking, ample living space, and terrific desert views. The close proximity to Red Rock Canyon National Park also makes it ideal for anyone who loves to get outside and stay active, or take their camper there for a pleasant weekend in the desert.
  • Shenandoah - Homes and home styles in Shenandoah vary a bit but most offer between 2,800 and 3,200 square feet of living space, and in some cases, plenty of space to park an RV. The community’s location on the far north side of Las Vegas make it easy to access for larger RVs, especially given the Bruce Woodbury Beltway and Oran K. Gragson Freeway are both just right down the street.
  • Rancho Park - If you’re looking for a Las Vegas neighborhood that is close to all the action yet still capable of accommodating your RV, consider Rancho Park, located almost directly in between the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. Easy access to the Las Vegas Freeway also makes the Rancho Park neighborhood ideal for RV owners and drivers, and homes in the community won’t break the bank, making it the perfect landing spot for buyers with a $400,000 to $700,000 budget.
