Las Vegas Retirement Communities
With pleasant weather and a tax friendly environment, many retirees are choosing to call Las Vegas home. Or at least spend their winter months here. It isn't just the weather. Retirees are attracted to the huge assortment of entertainment and leisure activities.
Age Restricted Communities
There are over 50 golf courses. Not a golfer? There are tons of shops, restaurants, walking paths, casinos, and other attractions. It's a great place to live.
Last but not least, our medical community is expanding. The Lou Ruvo-Cleveland Clinic Brain Research Institute opened in 2009. One of their primary missions is to ﬁght Alzheimer’s disease. They have expanded into MS, Parkinson’s Disease, and other Brain diseases/injuries. The Brain Research Institute is an outpatient treatment and research facility.
Hospital facilities are located throughout the Valley. In addition to the hospitals, there is a newly completed Las Vegas Veterans Hospital.
55+ Communities in Summerlin
Summerlin is one of the most popular areas in Las Vegas. The area is known for it's golf courses, shopping, restaurants and miles of walking paths. No wonder it's also a favorite destination for the retirees who move to town. On top of the amenities, the Summerlin Hospital has a favorable reputation.
There are two age restricted communities in Summerlin. Sun City Summerlin is spread out around three different golf courses. The community includes no less than four club houses. The Sun City branch of Chase Bank even has a drive thru window for golf carts.
Siena is newer than Sun City Summerlin. It is a guard-gated community in the Southern tip of Summerlin, near the Ridges and the Mesa's villages. Siena's homes were built between 2004 and 2007. The golf course at Siena offers incredible Mountain and Lake views.
55+ Communities in Henderson
Henderson is Solera Retirement Communityhome to several retirement communities. Sun City Anthem is on Anthem's Revere golf courses. The elevation offers many of the residents incredible golf, City and Strip views. Solera at Anthem is also in the Anthem master plan.
The Sun City Anthem club house has some of the most incredible views in town. This is a very active community with tennis courts, pools and a variety of activities.
Both of these communities are close to the shopping and restaurants at Green Valley. St. Rose Dominican Hospital at Eastern and St. Rose is convenient for medical care.
Retirement Communities in North Las Vegas
Sun City Aliante is the newest Sun City in town. Homes are spread out around the Aliante golf course in North Las Vegas. This community has beautiful views of the Sheep Mountains to the North of town and Mt. Charleston to the West. The new VA Hospital is only 5-10 minutes away.
Nearby shopping includes Costco, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and a variety of shops and restaurants.
