MacDonald Highlands Community
Part of the beauty of MacDonald Highlands Real Estate stems from the setting. At the base of the McCullough Mountain range, you'll find natural rock formations. The developers have taken extra care to preserve this natural desert beauty. The deeds allow construction of homes near the natural rock formations but owners are not allowed to alter them. You will find some of the custom homes are designed on three or four levels. It allows owners to utilize the land on the side of the Mountains and preserve the rock formations.
The custom homes we find in MacDonald Highlands come in a variety of styles. Many have a Tuscan or Mediterranean style with a modern feel. Lot sizes for the Toll Brother homes are less than a quarter of an acre. The custom home sites start at a quarter of an acre and can be an acre or more.
Your MacDonald Highlands Real Estate Agent will be able to show you custom homes that are available as resale and some new construction options. Premium custom home sites are still available. The semi-custom homes built by Toll Brothers are only available as resale.
MacDonald Highlands Location and Amenities
Dragon Ridge golf course is in the center of the community. The 18 hole Championship course will please even the best players. Non-players will enjoy the beautiful landscaping of the course. The Club House includes a restaurant, swimming pool, ball room and pro shop.
MacDonald Highlands offers several parks inside the guard gates. The East Park is home to the Dragon Ridge Tennis and Fitness complex. The fitness complex is a members only facility with a wide assortment of equipment and classes.
The West Park offers tennis courts plus a children's playground and a grassy area that's perfect for a game of football. The West Park is open to all residents of MacDonald Highlands. There's a smaller "Linear Park" with another children's playground.
MacDonald Highlands location at the base of the Mountains provides for a sense of serenity and privacy to the MacDonald Highlands Real Estateowners. Outside the gates, it’s only a 15 minute drive via the 215 Beltway to the Airport or Strip.
For shopping and entertainment, the District at Green Valley is only five minutes away. Next to the District is the Green Valley Resort & Casino.
Schools for MacDonald Highlands Homes
The public schools for MacDonald Highlands are highly regarded. Elementary schools include John Vanderburg and Neil Twitchell. Bob Miller is the Middle School and Foothills is the High School. There are several private schools nearby. A Montessori School for grades K-8 is just outside the gates on Stephanie.
